I ran into Marc Pohl from JUNIQE when the company was half a year into business. The tech stack consisted of a plug and play webshop and some scripts to the keep business processes running operated by three outstaffed engineers abroad. By then is was clearly visible already that the business model has great potential and that JUNIQE needed a CTO to grow into a technology driven internet company. The timing was great and I was more than happy to take on the challenge to scale up JUNIQE and become Europe’s fastest growing company in the online art space. I was strategically building up JUNIQE’s technological backbone to drive growth and keep JUNIQE an exciting online destination to browse, find and discover art. Being a problem solver and engineer at heart both building, leading & managing a great engineering team and staying very hands on and close to our codebase is my ambition.
