I recognize the decisive image before it happens. I earned that eye in photojournalism — in situations where there is no second frame. I've worked as a photographer since 1998, with a focus on portrait and corporate work since 2003.

For Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, The New Yorker. For Porsche, Zeiss, Bechstein. I've photographed Kofi Annan, Quincy Jones, Michael Schumacher — people used to being seen. And who still revealed something that surprised even them.

That's exactly what you get when you work with me: not a polished stock image, but a portrait that captures the person. Even when that person would rather not be in front of a camera and has a full calendar waiting. I read the situation, work fast, and without friction. From ten minutes, I get an image that holds for five years.

That's the difference. My images aren't consumables. A portrait that works for five years — on the website, in the annual report, in the press — costs less over time than three that are outdated within a year. Photograph less, use it longer.

I don't think in single appointments, but in series and long-term impact. Anyone looking to make a face, a team, or a brand visible gets more than a photographer. Someone who thinks along.

Für das Onlinemagazin mdct-mag habe ich fast zwei Jahre als Editor at Large Verantwortung getragen — ich habe die Gesprächspartner selbst ausgewählt und die Strecken eigenständig umgesetzt. Interview und Bilder in einer Hand. Meine Themen waren Architekten, Künstler, Sportler, Aktivisten: Menschen mit einem Traum, den sie konsequent verfolgt haben.

Erst das Gespräch, dann das Porträt. Wer sich im Reden öffnet, öffnet sich auch vor der Kamera. Genau diese Reihenfolge macht den Unterschied.
