Christos Chantzaras

I am an an expert in future of work, innovation processes and and start-up consulting in the AEC industry. With my expertise in management and architecture and academic work at the Technical University of Munich, I am a frequently assigned keynote speaker, strategy consultant and design sprint coach. I work independently with my practice thepermanentbeta.com on topics of innovation processes, new work strategy and start-ups in the built environment industry.

I have a 15-year-experience as architect and consultant for large scale national and international projects for research and development. Since 2007 I held different positions as project manager and director in Germany and China, responsible for office, R&D and production buildings as well as innovation consulting projects within various industries. From 2015 to 2017 I set up an interdisciplinary strategy team in Berlin. In 2017, I started as research associate at the Department for Architecture of Technical University with focus on the space-innovation relationship. After introducing architectural entrepreneurship I became managing director of the TUM Venture Lab for the Built Environment, to develop start-ups in the AEC industry. In 2019 I founded 'the permanent beta' - a new form of consulting that integrates architectural thinking, organizational design and innovation management. With my approach, I activate physical space as a strategic resource, initiate and advice transformation processes for the future of work in companies, for future of buildings and sustainable urban structures. My doctoral degree focuseses on creative approache to design innovation sysdems for organizations.
